Re: mortgage on TWP. If you have a good deposit, no problem. We are looking now & saw the bank who said 25% down is what they would look for.

$1500 PCM to live in Regina? Jeez, thats horrendous. Saskatchewan the scenic armpit of the universe. They clear the roads so well there too, bloody chaos every time there is a decent amount of snow. Don't think they read weather forecasts.

rent with Canada either but if you guys are paying around $1500 a month rent that,s $18000 so $72000 minus tax at 28% leaves you $51840 minus $18000 for renting
leaves you. $33840 divided by 12 $2820.then by 4 that,s $705 a week work out to the uk £ thats £463 .81 p:blink: if the canada renting was cheaper you guys would be raking it in ,,its this renting lark that,s the killer guys ,

£463 per week About the uk average
England mortgage ave £ 350 a month
Car tax £200 a year
Mot
Insurance £ ave 800 a year
Food gas electric etc etc

Suddenly doesnt seem so bad after all

There is a small problem here with the mathmatical working out!!!

Can anyone spot it????

We were able to secure a 90% mortgage through RBC with a TWP. At first we got told 25% down, but got in touch with another RBC broker via a friend who then offered us 10% down. We then contacted the first broker and told her what we got offered by broker 2. She then checked it out and came back to us and apologised for getting it wrong and confirmed we only needed 10% down. :)

Where!!

Well in a nut shell the GB pound is not used in Canada,Since i arrived in Canada in 2007 i have only earned and spent CDN $.
So the GB pound in this mathamatical equation is totally out of it,The math should only be done in $.
Therefore the equation cannot be true.

That mean's in this instance when going to live in Canada you live/work/dream/spend etc in CDN $.

Also the division sum should be by 52 (weeks in year) rather than divide by 12 and then by 4 which is only 48 weeks. ;)

so $72000 less 28% tax $51840 less rent ($18000) $33840 divide by 52 = $650 still not a lot when you look at it, i make more than that here ,, divide that by 1.50 = £344:rofl:
