Charging SATNAV, Phone etc in Canadian Rig
My LMO was issued this morning (brill) and hopefully I am off in a few weeks. As long as I can get my permit issued at the airport with my family following later (see my thread on the immigration forum)
My question is this: do Canadian trucks have cig lighter plugs that i can plug my tomtom satnav and mobile phone charger into. (don't bother telling me real truckers don't use Satnav. Hear it every day in UK) Anyone know if it's cheaper to buy Canadian mapping for the tomtom in the UK or Canada.
Thanks

Most have/put an inverter in their trucks though so you can just plug things in with a normal 'at home' plug (phone chargers, tv, kettle etc)

Last winter I drove from Calgary to Vancouver with 429 tons of steel on a 98 foot trailer using racing slicks and the brakes off a Ford Pop. And I still did it in 43 minutes.

Mk 1 eyeball is all you need....
Well and a Tom Tom 910 with all N.American maps pre loaded.
Don't use it under a series of flyovers in Halifax as you could be chasing your ass for about 20 mins taking dodgey turns....well so I was told...
