Default You tube thought police.

Non PC ideas need not apply. As per You Tube. No need for you to decide as they have filtered it for you!

Nothing has been Filtered, they just aren't going to pay you to post certain types of material.

I hate this. It's the same reason why swearing was censored on cable for so long - Fear of losing advertising money. Just have a separate pot for controversial content that edgy brands can buy into.

it just means those topics will not necessarily make money - they can still express those opinions. in a way they will be more honest as it wont be sensationalizing things to just generate views and therefore income. This way people will read it but only if you want to take time and effort but no pay to write it - so real belief rather than written only for profit.

There's a surprising number of people who make a lot of money on their Youtube videos. Quality content too, not just gaming the system by using suggestive thumbnails.

Yeah Lindsey Stirling rakes in about $8m a year from her videos, Most of the 'haul' videos are total product placement/paid ads to the YouTuber too. It's big business.

I was being facetious, about the junk videos of various sorts that people post - i.e. videos that have no entertainment or information value, but are posted only to harvest the revenue from the numbers of times the video is watched.

Lindsey Stirling is almost the polar opposite as IMO she is damn good at what she does, and has managed to cut a path to superstardom that no one else has managed - look at her early videos and all the credits/ thanks she gave to people who worked for free, and/or she swapped time and resources with. The work and effort she put in certainly deserves the success she now has.

Absolutely, I've bought at least 2 of her albums on iTunes. Her music is surprisingly relaxing when on the rush hour train.
