Fantastic comment BTL in the guardian match report - "Rooney's corner in the 77th minute has just broken my greenhouse". I mean, what was that?
In general England looked more positive than they usually do, and the younger players were good but I think Rooney still has a mental block with the World Cup because he had some shocking misses that he would have routinely put away playing for United. As for Gerard - well he's not Beckham with the free kicks, that's for sure. Don't think they'll get away with that defence against Uruguay with Suarez fit. Not looking good for getting out of the group now. :( |

Stupid thing is they could bore draw with Uruguay and beat Costa Rica and get through.
