My now @ Uni son, use to go to the Shea stadium at 6.0am and hang around all day for signatures, practice & then the game. He big time fan. We have special wood (Non reflective) cases for signed balls, we have signed bats, $350 (Mitchell Ness) shirts. On the way to a Friday night game, game got rained out. Went on Saturday to the "Double Header", Almost 6 hours of boring nothing, the 2 games produced about 5 or 6 runs, whoopeeeeee. Designated runner: Odd sport, they know they have fat unfit players, Joe hits the ball & Harry runs for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't tell anyone, they would fink U made that up. Frank R. We have signed balls from Nolan Ryan as he used to own our local bank;) It was our daughter that was the biggest fan and she still is, now her team is the Cardinals:thumbdown: |

i tried to watch a baseball game once and soon realised it was like cricket, it was at that time i had to use the toilet and looked in the mirror and realised my eyes were bleeding from boredom!!!! :D
NASCAR is boring if your watching it for the race, you need to be watching it in the anticipation of a major crash, then its exciting.:thumbsup: |

When I lived in Soho in London, there were ads for Roughriders condoms all over the place. Apparently my local team named itself after extra-thick gay jonnies! ...and then you get the whole stadium singing YMCA, complete with arm motions, in the warmup before the game, apparently without any hint of irony. What a strange country we live in! |

i actually like American football, i guess you really need to understand the rules before you can enjoy it though because it took me the best part of 4 years to finally get into it.
