Re: Who Wants A Wii?
Hi Guys,
We bought one in the UK before we moved out here, but have since found it is impossible to use here without getting it 'chipped' which apparently is illegal in the US..
We have tried many many many different ways of getting the thing to work but to no avail.
So be careful if you're planning on buying one from any websites that are not based in the US...
I think we're going to take ours back to the UK over christmas and get it chipped there, as apparenlty its much easier to do in the UK.

Hi,
We've tried everything, different cables, a converter bought off ebay, different TVS, but all you get is a very annoying flickering screen.
We only bought it a few months before we moved out, so its very annoying! Same things happened to the play station 2. In the end we bought another PS2, but could't quite afford another wii

I have a bread machine recipe for Italian Herb bread - Keira said it was similar to UK bread - I'll add it to the recipe thread .

I bought one off eBay used back in October for $200.00. Best Buys sells used ones through Best Buy Outlet and 2ndturn on eBay.
The ones through 2ndturn might have parts missing, but as long as you have the main box everything else can be replaced.

The game I like is called Marble Mania

Re: Who Wants A Wii?
PS: I couldn't see anything posted on the Gamestop website about them issuing 'rain checks' for the Wii consoles. Perhaps it's being kept as quiet as possible - so I guess there is a good chance that one could get a rain check tomorrow or Friday.....

Re: Who Wants A Wii?
I liked the Amex gimmick this Christmas of putting up popular products at a cut-rate price -- only catch was there were about 100 available of each so actually winning the right to purchase was like... winning the lottery.
Still, it was fun to compete. I didn't see any Wiis but there were other toys.
