When did you first meet your spouse?
Are you ****ing kidding me.
Thats actually a question on the VAF4A form.
I mean I actually know the date, but how many people really know this. Especially if you've been married for years.

We've been together so long I'd have to give the date in both the Gregorian and the Julian calendar just to cover all the bases.

At the movies ("Zorba the Greek") in Thessalonika in Greece, in November 1964. A bunch of us went from the Youth Hostel, and drank coffee on the roof of the hostel afterwards. Next day she asked me for a lift, going east. I had a car and she had hitched down from London. Well, what can you do? I've told the story on my blog - a January 2012 post, if anybody's interested.

and most of my friends at work cant either, they can approximate, but thats about it.

21/7/1970 about 2pm (and a voice in my head said "that's the man you are going to marry" as soon as he walked in the door even tho I was only on holiday on the other side of the world at the time!)

Mine's easy to remember because we met at a New Years Eve party. I was at the opposite end of the room when I saw him walk through the door. He looked straight at me and walked straight over. He said it was love at first sight.
