He can't believe me that we have ice/water dispensers in our freezers and self-cleaning ovens too. (These are 2 things I greatly miss... along with dishwashers and dryers not being considered luxury items)

I am a US Citizen living in the UK with my Polish husband (both been here for years). We are in the process of applying for his green card so we can move to the States...
He can't believe me that we have ice/water dispensers in our freezers and self-cleaning ovens too. (These are 2 things I greatly miss... along with dishwashers and dryers not being considered luxury items)

I'm not suprised..... he's from Poland. A washing machine to them is throwing an epileptic in the bath with the laundry FFS.
You both need to go down to your local Curry's they have both of them in there too.

One thing to keep in mind..... Except in the bigger cities we don't have much Indian curry stuff here... And malodorous smells are frowned upon in many Home Owners Associations

Fair enough... I set myself up for that one!Unless you are a multi-millionaire and live in Hampstead Heath, most flats in London are too tiny to accommodate a dryer/dishwasher
