Good luck.

No it is pronounced res-sue-may

The personal details I included were just name, address, cell phone and email address, nothing else.

I don't know about putting salaries in it. Would I put it in £ or $? In $ with the exchange rate, it would seem quite high for the job (around $40k), and I wouldn't want this to be taken as a sign of pricing myself out of the market.

I wouldn't list salaries. It'll back you into a corner before you even start if you try to negotiate your salary. The point of a résumé is to get you an interview - no more. You can argue about $$s with the prospective employer all you want if you get that far.

That's how I pronounce it

Also, keep salaries out of the resume. If they want them, it goes on a separate sheet of paper, as does the names and contact details of any references.

There are literally 1,000s of sample resumes available for download around the net. Do a google search for 'sample resume' and you'll get a pretty good idea what they look like.

Might be different depending upon the part of the country. We'd say re-zoo-may in the Chicago area. But I've never heard it said re-sue-may.

I like this theory.......... I had my first job interview in 7 years about 2 weeks ago and I didnt get the job. I wasn't bothered at first but as the day wore on I started to feel a bit gutted.

They obviously didn't like me (or couldn't bloody understand me!! LOL). So as penguinsix said........."f**'em"

FFS it's not 'exaggerating' - it's 'POSITIONING'!!!

I commend you for your restraint!

However, may I suggest the Yorkshire Ripper thread as a suitable outlet for highjacking. I feel that discussion of 'positionings' would lend itself to the sub-thread on chocolate and cognac - either that or the Reverend is bound to take a keen interest...
