What a joke.
I am not surprised in the least. Obviously the precedent has been set.
(Did not think this warranted being put into the TIO section) http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6731143.stm |

Re: What a joke.
She was ill it seems. Anyway, who else gets 45 days in jail for beeing caught driving after a few drinks? I would have had her doing street cleaning work rather than waste tax payers money sending her to jail.

Re: What a joke.
She;s back in court on Friday to decide whether she should return to prison. Apparently, if she does she will have to serve 40 days. Los Angeles City Attorney's office have filed a petition demanding LA's Superior Court show why Sheriff Lee Baca should not be held in contempt of court for releasing Ms Hilton.
It seems the Judge is the only one who can make the decision to give her the ankle bracelet. So, the Judge gets to decide on Friday. The same Judge who sent her to prison in the first place  |

3:13 EDT Good decision. There are tons of people in jail who have medical conditions -- cancer, HIV/AIDS, pregnancy, etc -- and they're not given ankle bracelets and released to serve the rest of their sentences under house arrest (mansion or otherwise!). Even those who are suicidal are given medical attention and monitored for their own protection. She shouldn't be treated any differently, medical condition or not. ~ Jenney |
