For British Beers over here, it's normally Boddingtons or Bass. If Killcenny Cream Ale is available, then I'll have that too.
Domestics: MGD is my number one, with Bud Light, Miller Lite and Busch Lite coming in after Miller Genuine Draft.
Jim.

Have you tried the Three Floyds Alpha King Pale Ale? It might be up your street.

Re: What GOOD beers do you drink?
Sounds to me like we're spoiled here in Dallas/Plano.
"Locally" (i.e. within the state of Texas) we have the excellent Shiner brewery, and almost every bar and grocery store here has their Bock, Hefeweizen, Dunkelweizen, Blonde, Kolsch and Light bottled or on tap.
Then there's Fat Tire from Colorado, which I've been drinking all evening.
As for imports, there's hardly a British or European bottled beer that you can't buy at Central Market here. They really have the best selection of beers I've seen anywhere.
As for good wine, Central Market again has a really amazing selection. We can get better, and cheaper, French wines here than we could back in the UK.

Three Floyds? Nope, don't know it. I'll keep my eyes open.

I believe there are a couple of states left that have weird beer definitions that you may be confusing with federal law.
Dogfish head craft brewery in delaware are more like the real makers of the strongest beer as its in constant production and weighs in at 23.04 ABV and even that is $10 a bottle....and it's tastes like shit IMO.
I'm still trying to get my head around "ABV" I still look for the "original gravity"...can tell I grew up in pubs.
I had almost given up any hope of finding a reasonably priced good tasting and not piss weak beer until I discovered this Brewery not to far and available in most of upstate NY and northern PA I believe.....

Make some bloody good tasting beers in various European and styles and with European ingredients. Check out the website and all the past favourites and the limited releases...they make a few weird ones with honey and other stuff like blackberries..I can't be bothered with that poncy stuff but take my word for it their "Hefeweizen" is absolutely bloody handsome. Shame they don't make it year round but then i just drink the pale ale (which is reasonable) when there's none of the Hefeweizen being knocked up.
they do a six pack mix for those that haven't tried them before with their core beers but the best are definately the limited releases IMO
