I stayed British and and drive a Range Rover.

The wife drives a VW Jetta 1.8T. Nice quick little car.

Being a bit handy and also a petrol head, I built myself a little plaything.
As bought

As built

A 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ.

Me: Ford Edge (2010), rebs, I'm also loving the voice syncy thing, never had a brand new car before, it smells lovely and I'm loving driving it! I've christened it Eddie

Him: GMC Envoy (2002) Named George

They have names, has have all our cars, I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Britishguy will be pleased to know we only ended up leasing one car.

Audi A6 which I really don't like.
Nissan Xterra which I drove to death (210k) and is being replaced with a GMC Yukon or a Chevy Suburban, shortly.

I'm doing ok with traction on the icy roads so far, its the ground clearance that might cause some problems when we get some proper snow.

I just have a plain 2002 Kia Rio with a manual transmission (much better than auto in my opinion)

2007 Honda CR-V wanted something either 4wd or awd for the Maine winters and some carrying room.

1999 Plymouth Breeze just to get to and from work (love that little shit box in the snow )

EnglishTart I love our CR-V and would recommend one but right now I have a rattling valve or a lifter and it is driving me mad.

'98 Dodge Ram 1500 extra cab 2wd

'02 Buick LeSabre

The truck carries stuff and hold all four of us although it's a little tight in the back seat now that the kids are getting bigger. It's a PITA off road due to the 2wd, it'll get stuck in wet grass and sucks in the snow. The underseat storage is loaded with recovery gear.

The buick is decent, gets 28mpg (mostly highway) is pretty comfortable, and has enough room that the four of us don't feel like we're sitting in each other's laps.
