Re: Video Game lovers
aye, HL2 was alright, looked pretty good and nice touches, but I couldn't be arsed to replay it like the first one....but counter strike is pretty fun...though I prefer FEAR for those work death match days

Re: Video Game lovers
well its been years now since I've played the original so hopefully it will be like a new tomb raider game and that my usual bad memory wont let me down
Does take me ages to finish a game though, I have to explore every nook and cranny and can take weeks to figure out a puzzle and fit it in around work etc!

I love the TR games too. I'm like you - doing the exploring bits, but I also love to see what "tricks" Lara can do if I find a glitch in the game. When I bugger up a jump or whatever, I shout at her calling her a silly tart coz she didn't do what I wanted her to do!!! Am I sad or what?

I like TR as it is more intelligent than most of those other games which just seems to be about how many people you can kill, back in the day it was one of the few none 1st person shooters out there so have been hooked ever since

The kids play Zelda and Animal Crossing and some game where you're on a skateboard -- and Dance Dance Revolution.
I'm a mean mom cos I don't allow a video gaming system in the house. But they have one at their dad's so they are deffo not deprived. The 14-year-old mainly wants to talk on the phone these days and I do art projects 'n' stuff with the seven-year-old.

Having no children its just my OH I have to 'fight' for the console
The skateboard one is probably Tony Hawks. Amazing seeing him on TV, how they do that amazes me. Love the X games and the winter ones.

Anyhoo they get their fix at their dad's and then we do other stuff at my place. They have more toys and books and board games and outdoor activities.

No -- it's something else -- but I have heard of Tony Hawks and he's an amazing skateboarder. I think Mario figures in this one somehow.... I can't remember! Oh yeah, there are these pet like things called "chi"s?

....think they are great for children rather than the other styles (geared for children so less violence etc)
Good idea having different stuff at each parent house.
But encouraging children to read books for pleasure is the best thing I think any parent can do

Had a mate that was awesome on a skateboard, never broke a bone in his body, a few weeks after getting signed up by DNA, smashed his ankle good and proper...but a year later, he's back in the game with another sponsor....crazy guy
