Actually it was for both my grandsons in the US. Both had it done at one of their doctor's appointments a one month after birth.

Hubby said the Canadian grandson had his done about the same time. Both hubby who is Canadian and his sons who were Canadian and Native American were circumsized.

The parent of the baby/child should only be allowed to consent to a medically necessary procedure for the child, which circumcision is not.

I don't agree with piercing baby's/small children's ears. I see more and more small children with pierced ears.

Ah of course they should. Because your moral viewpoint is vastly superior to theirs.

piercings, circumcisions hell why not allow tattoos?

Actually didn't Germany try and make circumcisions illegal?

It's not a question of moral superiority, it's a question of whether you should be allowed to have parts of a child, for which you are legally responsible, snipped off for no better reason than custom and belief, and with the apparent intention of making a generally pleasurable activity less comfortable and pleasing. I mean, seriously, WTF?

Its a good job i'm not religious i would have ended up being a non conformer. Being present at the birth, holding a leg, watching the entire proceedings and cutting the cord myself, I couldn't say hello son welcome to the world, just hold on a minute I'm going to get part of your knob cut off. One of the delivery nurses did ask, i just replied no thanks he gets to keep everything he came with thanks. I'm wondering how many parents could actually perform the procedure themselves? since they feel so strongly about it.

I am aware of the fact that in America that there is some shower room piss take of the boys that are not circumcised. We will deal with that when it happens.

I'm assuming you know that the umblical cord must be cut or the baby dies. So is this a passive aggressive comment?

I was thinking Muslims. I know Jews are a minority, they never let you forget that . But admittedly, I don't know the math re Muslims either and don't really care.

Sorry boss... I could just see where this was heading, and I was only trying to ensure no-one got banned for breaking BE rule 17b part IIa subsection 3. To save you all checking, that's the one that says we're supposed to leave a period of at least 2 years between pissing matches (sorry again) over circumcision......

Looks like I failed then!
