Default UK State Pension Increases.

Both Mrs L and I have had written confirmation from DWP of our pension increases for this year. Mrs L's has gone up 10.1% in line with what was announced. Mine has gone up 15.7%. Can't find anything online to explain why mine is more than expected. Thought I'd ask if anyone has a clue why, before I call and make a dick of myself asking why.

Lucky you two! Mine has always got less than the announced rate whenever I've looked at it. I once phoned and asked why and they said that the announced increase only applied to the basic pension; the other parts (additional, 3A, graduated..) got a smaller increase.

I'm not complaining that it is too much, more concerned that it is wrong and I will end up having to give back an over payment. Still DWP assure me it is correct, but had no idea why it was more than the announced percentage increase.

Strangely my Wife gets a letter notifying her of the increase, but I don't!

We used to have 'markers' on files to warn of "potentially violent" (because they had been, nothing potential about it) people so I expect they have one now for social media critics.

Other way round here. M got a letter and I didnt. Also his letter had to be forwarded from our Texas address even though I had recently again reminded them it needed to be changed .

I hope you're not implying that the civil service is, in some way, inefficient! You'll go on the list if you're not careful!

At least they correctly changed our banking information so I'm not saying they are totally inefficient
Does that keep me off the list?

Well they messed up my banking information, so I'll take it on the chin for you (as I'm already on the list)!

Let's remember that this is the guy who is apparently ashamed of being an award winnIing civil servant, but is proud to be a capitialst buy--to-let landlord. Funny that.
