Is wondering the same about the chicken balti pies.
Tempting but pricey.

Ah, did a TJ's run today and passed them up. It's still too hot here to turn on the oven anyway.

I've had the Beef and Ale pies, yummy! Never going to be a brit pie, but pretty damn good, you can nuke them, and the pastry is still decent!

Love the curry pies

Yes, absolutely.
Overdid it, too. I'm sick of them now but there's still three in the freezer.

I'm on a biryani kick now, though.

In the ultra competitive So. California supermarket industry, you'd be insane as a company not to accept coupons.

I think another new entrant has just announced they were closing up because they couldn't handle the competitive market.

As Jsmith says its a fight this way!

We have Vons/Pavillions, Ralphs, Gelsons, TJ, Shitemart all within the same distance from our apartment, coupons are king here, if you have the patience you can save 30-50 bucks on a fortnightly shop

Yep, Haggens are out of business down here nine months after buying up a couple hundred Safeway's/Albertsons stores. Doh.

Some years back Ralphs did not issue store coupons but what they DID do was accept any other store's coupons and double them. Not too long after, ALL the supermarkets adopted the same policy -- in other words, no more coupons at all.

That lasted about a month.
