Re: Trader Joe's
The 3 year aged Vermont cheddar is a fab cheese, especially for the money. There's also a really nice blue cheese that's pretty cheap at my local as it's from a few towns over.
My issue with TJ, the fresh fruit and veg is pretty hit and miss, when it's good, it's superb, when it's not, it's rubbish. A fair few times things like the onions just rot within days, also with the fruits. That's not just limited to TJ's though to be fair, just weird and kind of gross.
And one thing that is annoying, they never sell chillies at my local...but the farmers market should have something other than flowers pretty soon and the little Vietnamese guy does a ziplock bag of the little buggers for a buck, can't beat that

So, we have a Wegmans (finally!) opening here at the end of the month, no more driving to TJ's for some luxury items! How sad is it when you get excited about a new supermarket opening!!! (makes sense when the only other grocery store nearby is a Food Lion )

We are finally getting a Costco and a Target in Manhattan "soon". I'm very excited actually! I just wish hey would put a Trader Joes on the Upper East Side. It's not hard for me to bet to in Union Square but walking distance would be nice.
