Yes well they are not brand name and come with short warranties but in my experience they are still good for more than one use.
My 6 year old no name 1.5 gallon 1.25 pancake compressor for around $36 is still going strong, just for inflating our car tires and blowing up pool toys.
My 8 year old $21 chicago tool 6amp reciprocal saw is also still going strong for cutting down the odd 20 foot queen palm tree each year, given that the landscapers want $200 a tree i would have paid for one ever year.
Tools are horses for courses. American guys will argue over them until they are blue in the face, just as they do cars. Nothing wrong with that

this house came with a bar in it. It is the size of a small cloakroom. and has an open doorway and a open 'cubby' to the family room. it has a tiny sink and a small fridge and its handy for storage of beers and cans outside of the kitchen fridge. plus we can put all the fancy glasses and booze in their and again not waste kitchen cupboard space. It also has a door sized wine rack which is totally wasted on us as we dont really drink wine.
That said - we could EASILY live without it - its def NOT an essential. It looks way more impressive than it should though.

this is the sellers pics - we have beer in there wine rack right now.

Yours is elegant, MsElui. Looks nicer than the kitchens in any of my houses!

They are often in a basement, and have a big screen TV nearby, or a home theater, a pool table, and/or near a door out to a deck and/or pool.

Oh thanks so much for your infamous rolleyes, Mr. P. Those are always appreciated by the person you are "educating"....

When I google home bar, I come up with blueprints for a large or small cabinet to store alcohol, not a whole small room with sink/hob/fridge....

In fairness, I have seen a movable piece of furniture sold as a "bar", but it's a pretty embarrassing sight, an asymmetric table/counter, about 5'-6' long, with no plumbing and no fridge.

most of the ones ive seen before are in lower levels or basements - and are like spread along a wall with a counter people could sit at and a sink in the counters against the wall. tyoically the other end of the same room sports a large TV/Movie room setup.

this one - you couldnt sit in - its like a galley with counters down both sides. it has the hatch open to the great room - so people could sit there.

exactly. our last house in ohio (that we built) we let the builders add plumbing for the wetbar but we dodnt actually put in the bar. so we just placed a cupboard over the end pipes for future conversion if we could ever be bothered (and we didnt before we left).

I never understood the desire or need for a home bar, except by young men who like the idea of being James Bond-y. Unless you are going to have a very high frequency of parties and a very high volume of drinkers (in which case only a big and fully functioning wet bar, with wash station/sink and freezer/refrigerator would do) I feel they are pointless. And even pretentious.
The kitchen is more than enough.
Sorry, I know this was not what you were asking. But I couldn't resist
Good luck on the project though. The home theatre will surely be good!
