She's had a city councillor come by and ask if the company cares about the town at all because they've neglected to do anything about the grass and mulch.

Her response was, they're on the 8th landscape company, from "their" list of recommended local companies, because none of them have ever showed up.

Plus it's a choice of either get new lawn or replace all the pavement edging, that the winter crew completely demolished.

Anyone mention the still demolished entry/exit signs, would probably get punched in the face

That's quite a shit one, there. We'd have taken care of it, but she'd have to move the entire office and grounds over 1,000 miles

Luckily not an issue for us, nobody that I know is using it around here. At least not yet anyway. As mentioned above though, for longevity, the standard bark mulch seems to be better in the long run, as it maintains its appearance longer.

Though at some sites, we're still replacing that once a year. Still, if they want to pay us for it, we'll put it down ...

Amusingly enough, now that the new crew have fixed and set the sprinklers off...the missus got a cease and desist order yesterday from the town, for using the sprinklers...

Town ordnance says that people with new lawns can use sprinklers, after dusk or before dawn, unless it's an essential use for a business.

As new lawn hasn't been laid yet and as they're not considering it an essential use of the business, they aren't allowed to water the lawn.

Except they also want the lawns to look pretty and green, because they're centrally located and it looks bad on the town not to be well landscaped.

Lucky for the town that it's been pissing it down much of the day and will do tomorrow, but we've hardly had any rain in ages.

Yeah, that's what she said....but apparently it's because she runs the place, not the landscaping company, even though she doesn't have any control in the matter.
