[B] Hi people my son and i fly out to see my love in Kalamazoo?michigan next friday 28th April. We fly from manchester to Chicago.

Thing is we are in Chicago Airport for 5 freekin hours!.
Any ideas suggestions what we can do in that time!!... thanks people

you might get stuck dealing with customs and immigration for the whole time, so bring a book just in case

Take lots of things to amuse him on the flight and in the airport i.e. books, games, portable DVD etc. He can watch the planes take off and land at the airport. You will also need to eat, so that will help pass the time. Good luck and have a good holiday.

I never flew internationally from/to Chicago, but I can tell you there's not much in the domestic terminals.

There's always a display of some kind, and lots of those news agents that are never able to take credit cards.

I've just been well, lazy, and only just gotten around to moving some of the threads...couldn't be bothered moving loads though, just page one for now..

I've got 3 hours to kill in O'Hare tomorrow, as I'm flying there with American on my way home for a quick visit. It's such a dull airport.

Leave your passports on the plane when you land and fill your son's bag with bananas and raw beef - I'm sure the five hours will fly by with lots of people to talk to!

The intl terminals are a bit better - there's a chilli's for a start.
no video games or anything like that though, so i suggest you buy the id a gameboy or something - oh and the terminal is big and busy so you can't really let him run off anywhere either

If you're there during normal airport hours your son might enjoy Children's Museum/ Play it Safe Exhibit in the international terminal 5 and Pizzeria Uno which despite being in an airport is not bad at all. Not much else there so bring some travel games maybe.
