I know.. about the laugh track.. ack! We haven't been watching any of the sitcom shows because we don't turn it on til 9 or later (my dad is nagging me about Big Bang Theory).. there's a sort of rhythm to these shows, part of their formula.. it's annoying to me now. But I've sure watched enough of them to recall the 'feel'.

Oh well, we'll see (as the weather man likes to say now).

I have epsiode 1 of the new series of Dexter on the hard drive, but my wife says I cant watch it on the telly till she gets a day off and we can watch together. Its sooo hard not to watch.

Count your blessings. My missus doesn't like to watch it (or Weeds) until we have the entire season of episodes recorded.

BTW, I agree with everyone on the Shatner sitcom. Already deleted from the DVR schedule.

Hawaii 5-0...daft, but rather enjoyable entertainment I though....but very different to the original.

The Event.

That, I'm not to sure about, to much back and forth on the time line, but very weird storyline kind of makes it intriguing so definitely going to give it a go for a few episodes.

Lone Star has been axed after just 2 episodes. I quite enjoyed the first episode but the second one wasn't too good. James Wolk looks like a young George Clooney...has several of his mannerisms too.

It's being replaced by Lie to Me. To be fair, it was losing a pretty large lead-in from House.

I can see the benefit to that, but I do not have the patients. I shall count my blessings. (I had better never let my wife see your comment, in case it gives her ideas)

I just do not do new dramas anymore, because of the crazy way they manage shows, if its any good I'll watch it when its all, (or at least enough to indicate it has legs) avaliable. It is good to do marathons (as cluedweasel does)

No Ordinary Family

a dysfunctional family are in a plane crash and pick up superpowers.

Really, really enjoyed the pilot on Tuesday.....but it will never stand a chance as it's on the same time as Glee :(

(the only reason we watched it is cos that particular episode of Glee had Britney Spears in and I could not bear to watch her for an hour)

Just saw Detroit 187 lastnight, pleasantly surprised. Much better than expected, but still quite a cheesy cop drama, nothing to clever about it and very obvious formula.

Spoiler:

You knew instantly that either the new cop with the baby on the way, or the old chap who was about to retire were going to punch their ticket by the end of the episode and they didn't disappoint.

Entertaining but probably wont' be remembered if it disappeared either.

2nd episode of Lone Star was pants, I didn't expect it to get axed so soon though!
The Event...I can't stand the constant timeline changing. If you look away for a second and miss the "6 months ago" dog it's all terribly confusing.
It's also turning into another Lost where it's asking more questions than it's answering which is going to drive me nuts too.
Mr Ritter looks an awful lot like Sam in True Blood which I tell myself every time I see him (OCD like) :D

The Whole Truth.

Bit underwhelmed with it I think, kind of okay, but nothing new or special and there's not much chemistry between the characters, so a little bland and rather predictable.

But as there's no other courtroom drama going on, I'll give it a little longer.

Have you tried "The Defenders" on CBS Tuesdays? It's sort of fun in a "buddy" way.

Naaa...I thought that looked horrendous from the adverts and there's only so much dross I can fit into one day to watch :D
