When I first came to visit I think it was 90cents and people were bitching about it going over a dollar.

Yes, even I'm beginning to grumble about it....grumble grumble.
Still better than the 20 quid a pint back at home or whatever it is now.

We were watching an episode of Cops the other night, and trying to figure out what year it was from going by the gas prices. :D

I hear he has a bit of a temper too.
An orange man with a temper can't be good.

Reminds of a Tango advert.

When we came to live here in '96 gas was about 60 cents per gallon. I could fill the tank for less than $20...now it's more like $100. Still a lot cheaper than the UK...so I don't fret about it.

I don't think so...60 something cents per gallon in '96. Don't forget NJ has some of the cheapest gas prices in the US....and we don't dispense it ourselves.

Nope way out ...

Prices vary among states because of competition and taxes, with New Jersey having the lowest in the region. Mike Morrissey, a spokesman for the American Automobile Association, said the average price this week for regular gasoline was $1.43 per gallon in Connecticut, $1.28 in New York and $1.15 in New Jersey.

I'm happy about how cheap it is over here in the UK, people are complaining about it, but I'm happy with £40 a month, verses $75 a week/fortnight!

"Not Going Out"...it's on BBCA, a bit cheesy, but I thought it was pretty funny, only a couple of episodes in.

Anything else recently worth a punt?

Ice Road Truckers starts on June 8th...a curiously addictive programme.

What dya think of all those new shows?

Jericho might be good...rather liked Vanished and Justice....Eureka is rather weird, but kind of fun...

Anything really dire? What about comedies? :)

Well I am proud to announce that hub and I have cut off our satellite, we now have no satellite or cable because it is all complete crud that we were paying $40 a month for! Since doing so, we now have more time for each other, and less time rotting in front of the TV. We still rot in front of the computer, but that's rotting for free, so we don't care so much about that, lol!
