Re: Tele
So a new run of shows....which are worth a punt?
Rush - Doctor show, chap is working on the dodge...sounds iffy. Married - Comedy that sounds terrible. Exant - Astronaut spends a year in space, comes home pregnant...very slow after the first episode, but will give it another run. Matador - Footie star is also a CIA spy under cover....sounds really dross. The Divide - another law show, supposedly focusing on the shades of grey of the law/ethics....hmmmm. |

They really need to learn from Brit shows.

Divide - WE Extant - CBS Anyone watch The Strain - supposed to be "gross" so right up my alley. Taping it so I can binge watch. I know it's too soon BUT the Americano Broadchurch is supposed to air in August (actually I think Sept - I really need a life!). David Tennant is in it again - WITH a very impressive American accent and it's supposed to have a different ending. |

It's basically Cover Affairs meets Footie Housewives. Exant - Very slow after the second episode, but still enjoying it I guess, though it needs to pick up the pace a little more. |

The actors don't seem that well matched to the book though. |
Re: Tele
Seen the first episode of Dominion. Two really bad Americans accents from two of the main characters. Those actors have done decent American accents in the past (one is Giles from Buffy, the other is Jim Robinson), not sure why they are all over the place in this.

Back story is the intern doing the work had her father executed when she believed him innocent, blabla bla. Second episode focused on the prosecutor side on dealing with how he was manipulated an believed he was right. Has potential, but this really could have been a two part story and been wrapped up, but it's not. |

Sensitive Skin...new series starting on HBO this Sunday. Kim Cattrall takes the leading role in this remake of a British TV series starring Joanna Lumley. It's about a couple who decide to downsize and move into a city condo. Every time the husband is ill he thinks he is dying. She on the other hand tries to recapture her youth. Sounds familiar.

We've not bothered with any of the new comedies, but the in-laws like Married. |
Re: Tele
Outlander
Starz adaptation of the Diana Dabaldon books, or whatever her name is. The missus is a big fan of the books, I'm not to bothered. Anyway, it's set in Scotland and actually filmed there, so lots of pretty scenery. I don't quite get what this is really about though, but it seems the main character is jumping around in time to different conflicts featuring the same family of characters...but it's not a sci-fi. Very weird, but the missus is excited by it. |

The Knick
Hospital drama set in NY 1900...has Clive Owen as the main guy. It was piloted a month ago or so and was renewed for a second series, both 10 parts. |
