Homeland....Claire Dane's character is becoming more and more implausable...not to mention irritating.

Interesting that we saw Mandy Patinkin's wife fly in from Islamabad...then we see him whisper to the prisoner/terrorist in Arabic....hmmmm...

Another series in the works I think.

So has anyone caught Boss?

Bloke has found out he's on his way out, so goes on to be a bit of a hard case as a town official kind of thing.

Thing is...it added a bit of gruesome violence that just wasn't needed and made was was a bit of a dull and boring slow not any better.

I'll probably give it another episode or two, but I probably won't mind if I forget.

Grimm

Modern take on the fairy tales, in the real world...quite dark show actually, but pretty good actually, with some lighter amusing bits....

Been watching Once Upon a Time which is not too bad (though I am wondering how they are going to keep it going for a whole series). Is it worth watching the Grimm show as well or are they too samey? - fantasy characters inhabiting the real world and all that.

Watched episode 3 of the Walking Dead (second season). I was beginning to get a little bored in the beginning - then they shoved in an awesome plot twist and I was hooked again. Great writing. I'm starting to hope they build the show around the anti-hero Shane character and the redneck with the crossbow.

BBC America used to show it...not sure if they still do. You can probably catch all the series on Netflixs.

Love Spooks...the final ever episode was aired in the UK last week.

Very different style. Grimm, is a lot darker, the red ridinghood story, has a werewolf type person kidnapping little kids kind of thing and lots of fighting stuff.

Basically the main chap finds out he's a Grimm, a hunter of the naugties of these fairy tales, which were real events and they had never gone away.

I don't see how either of these shows will last beyond one series tbh, but fun while they last.

PBS show over here too and it's called MI5, not Spooks...because of the racial thing

It might be a tempest in a teapot, but using that term here could be construed along the UK lines of titling a show Wogs.

I've never heard that Spooks means that in the US  Whoever first decided they'd use that as a derogatory term was sick. Way way worse than 'Wog' imo. I've never understood the negativity of that word, I loved my Golly Wog when I was a kid  It's an affectionate term in my personal world. :D

Understood, words appeal to me based on the way they sound. :)

I liked it, pretty gruesome though! It's just on for 4 weeks:thumbup:

Commissioned for a third series...out next year...should be cool...second series was good too, if a little weird...but really setting up a bit of a dark back story too.

Re: Tele

Suburgatory

It's a really daft comedy, but actually kind of fun and amusing. It's a single parent dad and his teenage daughter, they've moved to the burbs from NYC and adjusting to life in the burbs and all the weird quirks that come with living in the burbs.

It is silly, but it's mindless and a fun watch, certainly better than a lot of the other comedies that came out this time around.
