Student emigrating to Florida from Watford.
You cant help noticing that most foreigners haven't a clue about the British class system. So, I thought it might be strangely interesting if we took a little poll and shared our definitions and personal experiences. All for the benefit of those Moose-folk to the North and Septics in our midst.

Sadly I am unable to participate in this poll since the categories do not include "socialist wannabe middle class jerk", which is how one of the respondents to this poll described me a couple of months ago.

I would say it's the working-class who have doilies on every surface and are socially conservative. Find breastfeeding disgusting but tits hanging out of boob-tubes ok.
Middle class have a couple of holidays a year, and constantly panic that the neighbourhood is going down. Kids overscheduled with masses of activities to make them successful
Upper middle class are socially liberal, worry less about education than middle class and the presentation of homes and cars etc
No idea what the Upper class do except hunt and go to balls.
