The OH told me yesterday that she has some bugs arrived on the scene and thinks they are Boxelder bugs. Might get her to take a pic as they may be these stink bugs of which you speak.

either way I hope she gets rid of them before I get there :-)

I know they're not the same. But they are often mistaken as the same.
Which is why I said I'll get her to take a pic so we can deduce which they are.

Yeah, the bugs in North America are hard to sort out, especially for relatively new arrivals like me. The difference between stinkbugs and the wheel bugs and boxelder bugs is that even though stinkbugs are annoying, they don't bite....whereas the others can. In fact, I think wheel bugs have a vicious bite.

I sent her out to take pics but it had got too dark and they seem to have mostly gone.

I don't doubt what she says they are but I want to be sure what I'm letting myself in for
As she's lived there all her life she just says: "Damn, they're only bugs!"
But she said that about the mosquitos a couple of years ago and I looked like they'd used me as target practice !
