Well our move to the PNW is taking forever
We weren't turned down for the O-1 but we did get an RFE for a very obvious letter the attorney forgot to ask us to get >.< We will have the final decision from USCIS before Friday, and have earmarked a house-hunting trip to the PNW on the 7th of June (flying there from Mexico as we have a family holiday booked there that I refuse to miss out on lol)

Our relocation team aren't happy we want to take up their house-hunting trip but it seems stupid to fly back to the UK then fly out to Seattle 24 hours later so we're piggy-backing the trip. We won't have time to do this at another time as we will be at the Embassy the week we return home so can't fly anywhere (I'm thinking they're not going to say "no" at this point, it's my only ray of sunshine on this sea of sh1t I know they might but shhhh I don't want to hear that right now).
We still don't know where we want to live when we move out but have narrowed it down somewhat to Sammamish/Issaquah mainly because the schools are great and it's not too far for commuting to Redmond. My husband however is very keen on looking at Tacoma as we have a good friend there who he will be working with. Ignoring of course the fact it's a good hour+ drive to and from the office >.<
As the visa is dragging out we will be left with less time here to pack the house up, sell the bloody thing (there was some good news this morning, HIP packs have been suspended) and sell the cars. My husband seems to think everything will be ok and the magic relocation fairy will appear and *poof* everything will be done for us. And breathe....
There was going to be a question but it has been answered elsewhere on the forum so there's no need to ask again. I just needed a bit of a rant and whinge sorry.

No need to apologise, this is probably the best place for you to rant 'n' whinge...sounds like hubby isn't listening anyway
There is usually at least one in the couple that looks at everything through rose colored glasses and the other one tends to be realistic
Hope everything works out well for you guys, there are lots of Brits on here that would kill their Grandma's to get a move to the PNW!!!

Me too! I am at this point cracking up. I moved out of my own house on 24th April into a little holiday cottage. It's nice but it's not mine. It is also a lot smaller than my old house, so I am very aware of everyone else's noise and mess. My OH has been in the US since 27th Feb, so he missed the whole removal, packing etc...
I feel like I am in limbo. I am also (wrongly probably) getting really fed up telling the people the same thing again and again when I meet them on the street. I have no enthusiasm whatsoever. I am actually miserable. It's not that I don't want to go.
I feel like a right grump. I am snappy and can't sleep. Aint stress grand!
And....another thing. It has been freezing up here in the north all winter, so I kept back my winter clothes and shipped the summer stuff. Now we have glorious sunshine and here I am in my black polo neck, looking like an idjit!!
Nothing is pleasing me just now ggggrrrrrrr

We're going to Cancun, not everyone's cup of tea I know but it's our first family holiday in years as the man of the house works too bloody hard and has never had the time before. Anyway I LOVE tequila

Also you may find it difficult crossing into the USA from Mexico just to look for a new home
Thousands of people every week try that from Mexico and dont make it
.... Or do you plan to cross the Rio Grande and do a runner ?I can just picture the scene at the border crossing .... "Why are you visiting the US sir ?"
"I'm looking for a new home"
"Get the f**k back to Mexico"

Is it wise to go house hunting before the whole thing is finalised ?

There is still a good chance that he will make it.
