Sounds like you drunk all the Stella.

AB already has the US distribution of InBev brands so I doubt it would really change much. Especially as, at least around here, I can get pretty much their entire portfolio. I think you need to get out and start looking at the US brewing scene.

AB is suing InBev. The deal might not go through since InBev does business with Cuba. InBev wouldn't be able to operate in Cuba if they purchased AB. So we'll see what happens. Plus you can get a Stella, albeit a skunked one, in stores right now.

The Inbev take over interests me since I see it as poetic justice. Not too long ago mighty Busch legally stopped the original Czech brewery from calling their far superior and orginal brew Budweiser....
Inbev has a range of beers and many of them are not available in the States. It would be good to get more variety nationally and just not pockets of distribution. The whole Cuban issue just smacks of projectionism. I do wonder how a successful bid might impact on candidate funding in November?
And I agree on the issue of Stella sucking and/or blowing here. I could swear it has a different recipe, much more starchy to my taste. Then again, Bud always results in a hang over ...I believe its mashed from rice.
Luckily I can console myself with a local supply of Pride on draft.
Anyway, its all small beer.....

True. Ironically AB distribute it to North America. I really wouldn't give too much praise for InBev, they are even worse than AB for messing up a decent brewery. Their MO is to buy a brand, strip down the brewing process and use cheaper ingredients, have most if not all of it brewed under license rather than the original breweries. There is a difference between UK Stella and US Stella. UK stuff is brewed in the UK, US stuff is brewed in Belgium.
