So what are your plans for the fourth?

Fireworks displays, BBQs, picnics, going over to the neighbors for beer 'n brats? Nothing at all? Getting 50 of your expat friends together and trying to take back your neighborhood?:p We're going over to friend's farm to eat meat, drink beer and blow stuff up. It's a tradition. |

Going to friends for whatever they do ..barbecue and stuff.
At least they have a sense of humour, they thought it was funny when I said, so we're on at yours for our thanksgiving on the 4th. :D |

I did ask the OH about maybe taking little man this year, we read about the local thing's going on and found out it would be a nightmare for parking, and I am not sitting around hours before hand in this heat :frown: so we ain't going to bother.

Oh dear :( ........... someone got out of bed the wrong side today :D Of course we all know that Britain had nothing to do with slavery, especially in Australia ???? Like using young aborigines heads as football for instance, and English land lords who raped mindlessly, and also took any new bride to try her out before the new hubby could, and need I go on ? Conquering two thirds of the world to build an empire treating the natives of every country they took over like vermin. If you don't like the country stay out of it ..... you do have a choice. |

On the other hand, watching a huge fireworks display with the noise vibrating in your chest and the bursts so huge in the sky, listening to Copeland and thinking of how lucky I am to be an American is really kind of nice. I'm sure you feel the same way about wherever it is you're from. |
