I've often thought it wouldn't take much to push America in fascism. All that patriotism, saluting the flag, teaching kids who are too young to understand it to do their little patriotic chants everyday in school. At least they don't do Hitler salutes any more when they're doing it.

I sometimes see people out next to Capitol Hill with their four year olds thrusting political signs up and down, shouting slogans. The kids, I mean. In my mind, that's child abuse.
