Smile The Silent Pool

Looking at all the lovely snow pictures and hearing from other Surrey and ex-Surrey dwellers made me wonder - does anyone have any good photos of the Silent Pool near Albury? Or of Shere? Just to bring back the childhood memories!

I did have some photos of a friend's garden in Shere - but I've just checked my "Inbox" and I think my dear hubby has deleted the all

Not that I could have proven it was Shere, mind you, but it was - and mighty snowy it was too.

I'm a Boxhill/Dorking girl myself - I read on another thread that you were an Epsom/Headley/Tadworth local. Pretty part of the world, methinks.

Have you seen the film 'The Holiday' with Kate Winslett and Cameron Diaz, it has some really lovely shots of shere in the snow, (not real snow I'm afraid but you wouldn't know. The film is set all around the surrey area, and there is some lovely shots of Dorking High Street as well. I spent a month there last December and it was absolutely wonderful , I really fell in love with the place and I would love to go back there to live, especially as I am sisters and a Mum back there. Hopefully one day!
