Default Shopping help

I can't figure out how to get a few things and my on line searches aren't getting anywhere.

I need some pots to put house plant pots in. ie no holes in the bottom. I have some pottery ones but I'd like a few cheap, light ones, plastic or that foam stuff that looks a bit like stone. Garden centre? Last one I looked in only had pricey big ceramic ones. In Canada I'd get them from Zellers or Michael's, probably.

Cheap white vinegar for cleaning, preferable by the gallon. In the supermarkets I only see little bottles of gourmet stuff.

BTW, I found www.shinyhardware.co.uk which sells acetone and Isopropanol, which we haven't been able to find in regular stores. The acetone is for occasional cleaning of techie stuff for my DH, the isopropanol is for a recipe for a spray glass cleaner I make sometimes. It's useful for cleaning light grease.

Bev

Perhaps there are others here who've returned after a long time and haven't quite figured out what's where.

Try Homebase for the plant pots. Most large super stores such as Tesco and Morrisions have a bulk produce section and usually large containers of white vinegar are there.

Costco is over here now but it depends where you are in the UK as there's not that many stores.

I'll check Tesco again, then. I can't remember seeing a bulk section. Perhaps not all stores have them? They don't sell it on line, only white wine vinegar in 500ml bottles.

Thanks,

Bev.
