Maybe so. I think I felt really strongly about a couple of issues, but the questions were so very broad and general that I can only feel strongly if I know specific details.

I have mixed feelings about my opportunity to vote, in part I felt swept up in the patriotism that went with the citizenship ceremony, how lucky we are to vote in a 'free' country. Then the cynic in me takes over when I think of speaking circuits, book deals, the last election farce and the numerous scandals these arseholes ( politicians) seem to get caught in on an almost weekly basis.

They appeal to those who will vote, and sadly so few do. Too many take that right for granted.

I knew it - Kucinich also. Dennis is the closest thing to a genuine lefty in Congress. The rest are essentially centrists.

Then Edwards and Dodd both tied at 37.

I didn't actually answer the question on immigration because there was no answer that was close enough about how I feel on the topic.

Hmm..it appears that only one candidate agrees with me on Iraq, and that's Sam Brownback (whoever the heck he is). And only one of them agrees with me on Immigration, Tom Tancredo - never heard of him either. Why are all of the candidates so damn afraid of upholding the existing immigration laws & fining those that break it??

Are they? I honestly don't know anything about either of them. I don't think of myself as a nut; I feel I'm more of a centrist myself. But on immigration, I feel pretty strongly that anyone here illegally should get sent back home, employers fined, and no amnesty. If that makes me crazy, so be it. Apparently there are no democrats that agree.

Dunno about crazy. But I certainly hope you're not employed in logistics. Even Stalin would have found such numbers difficult to deal with.

Any idea on how to go about doing that? Honestly, I have no idea how it could be accomplished. I have to agree with Fat Brit. The logistics would be unbelievable.

After doing some research Kucinich is not for me. I like his proper universal healthcare plan and many of his gun control plans, but there are too many things that really piss me off... taxes and Reauthorize the ban on the sale or transfer of semi-automatic guns, except those used for hunting.

not sure if this a wording thing here, but only having bolt action or lever firearms would be a bit crap. I'm all for his other gun control ideals however....

Employers fined would be a lot easier than mass deportation.

McCain 35, Romney and Duncan Hunter both with 30.

Kucinich was last on my list with 15.

Those questions were pretty general though and there were several where none of the options were anything close to the solution I would like to see.

When it comes to actually punching the card I haven't seen anyone I'm comfortable voting for, including both Romney and McCain. I have problems with both of them. I don't think my candidate exists this time around.

I'm fresh out of ideas myself. I'm just relating how I feel about the topic. I'm in the logistics industry so I have a pretty good idea of the work that would be involved in a mass deportation. Definitely wouldn't be easy. Probably fining employers left and right would help the situation. If we could make employers tow the line, then maybe illegals would stay home and/or go home since they couldn't find employment as easily.

Anyway, my feelings may not be too well accepted by the majority, so I'll keep 'em to myself.

I agree with you. What I'd like to do and what is possible might be two different things but it doesn't change the way I feel.

One of the problems here is that I think certain elements use this widespread gut feeling to ensure the status quo. If you can whip people up into a frenzy of "no amnesty", then you have created a situation where there is no workable solution. And hence you still have a plentiful supply of cheap, malleable workers for those jobs that you can't export.
