Passable. A few specks of burnt sugar here and there. I need to use a different saucepan next time.

I looked the recipe up and saw that pic and it looks just like maple sugar candy. Apparently it IS a lot like maple sugar candy except there's no maple syrup in it, :lol:

Well I did warn you that I couldn't make it for love nor money. The damn stuff didn't set properly. It tastes lovely though and has the nice grainy texture. Ah well a kilo of desert topping anyone ?

Looks good to me.

Years ago I was taught how to make the stuff, recipe looks fairly similiar.

I was told at the time always use the heaviest saucepan you can find.

Oh, it was heavy alright, just wasn't non-stick! :frown:
I should've known better. I've been making caramels for the past few years and I always use a non-stick bugger for them.
