Weird. They need to sort that out.

I know cooked ham can be a bit watery but I am struggling to remember a time when it was ever so bad it was actually dripping out like I was trying to bite into a sponge ...

We could end the water shortage in California by wringing all the ham and beef deli meats out.

If you're talking lettuce and cucumber-back off! I think I may have been a rabbit in a former life.

Are you salting your sandwich? That could make the meat "sweat".

Now that I'm a partial man of leisure (still working, but mainly from home, and part-time), I make my own sandwich every day ... I don't think I could ever go back to store bought, even a good deli. I make a sandwich with thick toasted slices of Acme Bread Company's 'Ciabatta' (or Semmifreddi's, if I can't get Acme); sliced tomatoes, two slices of good quality turkey breast, a BIG PILE of Arugula, and yellow peppers. Absolutely no butter or other dressing ... the tomato and the yellow peppers provide all the necessary moisture. Slicing the tomatoes as you make the sandwich greatly improves their texture, and having the bread freshly toasted makes it better too. I used to eat out lunch all the time, but nowadays I arrange my schedule to ensure I'm home around lunchtime so I can make my delicious sandwich!
