I saw this on another forum and was surprised, I didn't even know he was sick yet had supposedly had cancer for a while. Just hope he didn't suffer.

Sad news. He was a great manager and a top bloke.
He was responsible for getting England as close to winning the world cup as i expect I'll ever see in my lifetime.

Was very much gutted to hear that today. RIP Sir Bobby.

He is a true legend of the game, both as a player and a manager.
It is fair to say that no-one has a bad word to say about him; he had all the admirable qualities one would want. You can see his universal appeal when you see Sunderland fans (in their red and white shirts) going into St James Park to pay their tributes.
It is nice to see that all Football League and Premier League matches will have one minute's applause on the opening day of the Season, and all players will wear black armbands as a mark of respect.
A true great and a proper gent.

Was a pretty nice guy. Even posed for a picture with me one day eventhough all I was doing was talking about Arsenal. I think I have his little Corinithians statue around here. Put it atop of a picture of him and me talking strategy.
Sad to see him go.
RIP
