Default Retire from UK to Florida.

I think quite a few people have done this. What type of visa do you need for it? Will you have to take periodic trips back to the UK for some minimum time? Thanks.

Is this another hypthetical question?

There is no retirees visa for the US. Some people get a B visa and come over for 6 months at a stretch. They're often called 'snowbirds' here.

heh.. I have to be careful, being half-Canadian myself. It's a unique form of self loathing.
Plus, my relatives go to cool places.
