Let me know if you come to town for a recce and I'll help show you around.
There are some areas that are less expensive than others. The freeways here are fab. Where we live, for example (92117) we can get just about anywhere around San Diego in 20 minutes (including Mexico), and 30 minutes to Oceanside - the northern end of what I call greater San Diego.
