I have a chance to move to Buffalo, my Grandmothers sister ( my Great Aunt ) Lives in Buffalo, her son runs a mediums sized Electical Installation company.
Here in the Uk I am a qualified Electrication and a qualified Air Con and Refrigeration engineer.
He has told me i can go and live in one of his houses and he will give me a job.
Is the process possible, and does it take long, and what type of visa should i look to get. I have a wife and two teenage kids
Any help would be great

The visas are described in the Wiki. None of them fits.

Read this... see what, if anything, fits: http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Pulask...ork_in_the_USA.

It is possible for you to go to Canada to live and work with your skill. If you want to move from the UK, look into that possibility.

This is just a suggestion, but couldn't the great aunt's son establish his medium sized electrical company in the UK with the OP being the one and only employee. Just get it registered as a limited company.
Then wait a year and go over on an L1B visa. He could then stay in the US for a few years then, right?
The above is just a wild suggestion... I know next to nothing about the technicalities involved... feel free to shoot it down in flames
