No idea what they do now, this was about a decade and some change ago.
I suppose the glass bottle of root beer is no worse then the glass bottles of booze you can buy at some airports after security.

Cariba, I'd guess, which was mostly pineapple juice, or at least tasted strongly of it.
ETA I found a picture, appears to be pineapple and grapefruit.

Fair amount of delays and diversions on 11/23 in San Diego due to fog and low visibility with the airport below minimums a few times. Pretty much happens on an annual basis around end of Nov and into early December for a bit.
Luckily it's not often this airport has weather issues.

It's OK, that was always such a stupid statement anyway.
Maybe we should just sit back and let Russia knock themselves out. All we have to do is put ISIS in a fleet of Ladas, let them drive on Russian highways for a few days and they'll all be wiped out.

Russia is a friend of Assad and is mainly bombing a variety of moderate rebels with the odd stray bomb accidentally hitting daesh to make it look kosher.
Turkey hates Assad but tends to hate Kurds more so has been encouraging daesh to attack the Kurds.
The Kurds hate most people but have been one of the few local groups relatively successful against daesh with their peshmerga fight well against them with US support.
The moderate rebels hate Assad but are not one cohesive group and have their own tribal alliances.
Iran hares...
Etc etc etc

An interesting article about the history and future of the B52's. Apparently a USAAF pilot who qualifies as a pilot today can still look forward to a long career flying B52's.
