Just did a search - not even 1 in a 50 mile radius. Ah well, it's ok, I'm thinking of getting my PG Tips off Amazon from now on, it's either that or move somewhere where there is life and a decent chance of getting stuff cheap! :D

Sambuca uh :blink: I can only imagine how you are feeling today.. I don't drink that much or that often but I stick to bourbon or margaritas usually.. If I drink wine I'm awake all night, I think it turns into sugar?:unsure:

I brought 6 large boxes back from the UK last month....they were on sale at Asda. I would have brought more but had to leave room for hubby's M&S Earl Grey.

Our local World Mart sells the usual PG Tips, etc. But lately I've taken to this stuff.
Its a lot cheaper and tastes really nice.

Its Lifeboat Tea.
Presumably its what they keep in their thermos's to give to revive people they drag out of the sea. :)

Finally after 21 years in the US they have decent Tea bags at a decent price.
Tetley's British blend. Fresh and strong. Even some imported PG tips I have bought have tasted off, maybe due to heat or long periods of storage.
This Tetley's brand is available through Safeway in the US, specifically Vons or Pavillions in CA.
Really is good.

Here is a link, pretty sure it's much cheaper than imports;

I've been pushing Tetley's British Blend on here for ages...I think it's available from most supermarket chains. I only found PG Tips in my local supermarket about 6 months ago.

PG Tips is only available at import stores here as far as I know, at highly inflated prices.

The worst has got to be Liptons. I've used 3 or 4 bags and it's still tastes like dishwater.

Why did you bring them from the UK if you can get decent tea here ??

I agree with you about Liptons...one cup and the rest went in the bin.:thumbdown:

Costs almost $9 for 80...I got around 500 for less than that at Asda. I like a bargain...what can I say? :D

I guess tea bags are much cheaper in the UK. $4 for 80 of the Tetleys British blend is a good deal here in CA, not sure what 80 tea bags cost in the UK nowadays ??

I don't know. I can't even check how many PG Tip bags were in the boxes I bought...'cos I took them out of the boxes and put them into plastic bags so I could get more in my suitcase. Like I said...I like a bargain. :lol:
