Pet Peeves?

Re: Pet Peeves?
Bit like Dreamcast should only come pre-fitted with Soul Calibur superglued into the drive.
*Unless you are a dirty hippy and want to play Ecco

Could always try something like this. I've looked a few times myself... Never quite convinced myself. Yet.

Must get that Competition Pro USB joystick I keep forgetting to buy
I never did play Ecco, though there was a massive circlejerk over that game at the time.

I'll just leave this pic of my Atari and Zip Stick here for now...

Nah, my mate had an ST and it was every bit as good. Can't beat a zipstick, though, I had a callus on my right palm from the top of mine because I used it so often. I was so pissed with myself when I eventually broke it, but in fairness I just got beat 5-0 by a really shit team, so it needed to be thrown across the room.
Such a pleasing clicky noise they made though. Pure ASMR material, right there.

Oh good, we are talking tech again! my time to shine
You forget Golden Axe, Sonic 1&2 (but not 3), Road Rage... I could go on.
I never did much with an Amiga apart from managing to get Prince of Persia to play on my Dads. Which of course 'peeved' him as I hogged it. Never managed to complete it though.

pffft. Libel.
I spy the copy Thinking back, there were a few Disney games I enjoyed too (world of illusion or something?), I had a game genie too. It sucked.

I never did complete PoP without cheating (PC.. Amstrad 1512). Funny, people these days complain that games are too short, but PoP only gave you an hour to complete it.

I still miss Manic Miner and JSW. I remember buying crash magazine as they printed instructions for the games.

I wondered where you had been hiding
Do you mean Road Rash? Those were unbelievably good games. There were hours of fun with my cousin race spamming to make enough money to afford the Diabo (or whatever it was called), then all the other riders trash talking between races. I had it on the Amiga, too. Great days.
I spent probably 95% of my time in the mid-90s playing either Sensible Soccer or Championship Manager on my Amiga. Then I discovered Civilization ...

Yeah and if you used up your lives.... well you restart. from scratch. I prob spent wasted more time having a meltdown from a restart than actually from game play.
