Alight so I am familiar with the rolling 25 year rule , and the requirement to modify vehicles to meet DOT & EPA regs for vehicles less than 25 years and on the DOT list of vehicles approved for import by independent commercial importers. Looked into this over 20 years ago when I wanted a Defender. Gave up and just bought a NAS 110 here.

Now my question is, what about commercial vehicles, like Class 7 and Class 8 trucks. Think Mercedes Actros, and other truck-tractors. Any idea if these also need to meet EPA & DOT regs? Very likely they do, but hoping they don't.

Not yet. Was going then got into major accident and totaled my truck. So kind put the dental thing on the back burner. Had a really bad tooth ache about 2 weeks ago, so went to local dentist and got that sorted.

Will definitely go to Marquette soon, next week . Currently moving house, so lots of cleaning, packing and DIY renovating to do.
