Sorry you don't get my vote, Belfast is not in Ireland it is in the UK, and always will be.

LOL!

Ok, on a technicality mebbe, but I seem to remember Belfast being slightly "offshore", in the British part of *Ireland*

But to prove I'm not pedantic, here's a challenge for you - Drive from London to Belfast without getting wet and I'll come over to your side.

Cheers

You don't have to be pissy. She's just trying to get her wedding paid for. Not solve thousands of years of conflict.

What kind of argument is that? So if you can't drive to Hawaii without getting wet it's not part of the US??

I'm being pissy I am just correcting her as I would like to be corrected if I were claiming NYC was in Canada and thus making myself look uneducated and ignorant.

Okay, just to set the record straight. My story stands! I did return to Ireland several times with family and friends. We always flew into Dublin, which I think we can all agree is in Ireland, did the touristy stuff and then drove north to Belfast.

So let's not split hairs or get my thread booted from the board over differences! Thanks so much!

So I guess if you drove from Dublin to Belfast without getting wet it must be in Ireland!

I know your being pissy.

If Belfast is in Northern Ireland, and according to you Northern Ireland "belongs" to the UK, then all she did was leave off the Northern part of Ireland. It's still in Ireland isn't it.

And don't call me any names, I'm just asking.

Yes. Brazil is in America. It's in South American. Canada is in America. It's in North America. Mexico is in America it is in Central America. America is not a Country. The United States of America is a Country.

Besides your comparison makes no sense.

Maybe not to you, but what is fact is that you can't drive from London to Belfast without getting wet. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom and not of the Republic of Ireland, and your education system has let you down terribly.

Your education system let you down terribly as well. You didn't know that America was not a country. You're not the only one with that knows something. We all know something. But apparently you think you know everything.

Actually I don't know everything, I recently sold my complete collection of Britannia Encyclopedias as I have found out sice being married my wife actually knows everything!
