I know Ive said this before, but I just wanted to express my utmost respect for all of you who are spending months and months apart from your significant others. My husband frequently is gone for weeks at a time and it is utter hell for me - I truly cant imagine the strength it takes to spend months or years without your spouse or fiance. So yeah... thats it. You guys are much bigger people than I am

I know how you feel Andrea. My husband is away at least three days a week, every week and is now away for a whole month. It sucks.

You couldnt kick my arse if you tried!!

Thanks though, Hyper. Really, youre the best
But anyway. My point was, it sucks so much for me when my hubby is gone for a few weeks. Everyone who had to/has to endure much more than that is seriously a really strong person. I cant imagine how hard it must be.

Mark is gone a lot of the time too and it sucks because I have no one to cook, Thank God To Karey (His aunt) who feed us when he is away

Do you talk to your hubby when he is away?, he should bring a laptop and webcam everywhere he goes, that way it won't be that hard on you!
Kick your butt? Of course I could! I can knock you out with one of my farts, just ONE and you will be out of it<insert evil smiley here>
As for being the best.. Nah.. I am just a crazy Spaniard.
If you need to talk PM me!!

My fiance came over on his K1 visa in April 2004, and we promptly got married. Since then, he's been working mostly in Los Angeles while I stay in Phoenix. He comes home every couple of weeks for a long weekend, and stays a whole week when he can get away from work there (which isn't often). When people give me a sympathetic look and say "awwww, that must be awfully hard on you guys as newlyweds to be separated already", I tell them, "our lives now are a vast improvement over what we had for the past 3 years - for 3 years, we had phone contact only a few times a week at best, and only saw each other once a year. Now, however, we get to see each other regularly, every other week!! We get to talk on the phone a zillion times a day for free!! We get to send silly lovey-dovey text messages even when we're too busy to talk on the phone!! Believe me, this is a HUGE improvement over our lives and our relationship, now that he's in the USA".
That usually gives them a better frame of reference and they say "ahaaa, I never thought of it that way".
It's all in your ability to look at the glass half-empty or half-full, and to put things in the right perspective to keep the glass half-full.
HUGS to all the folks out there who are separated for whatever reason.
