Do a Goole in alt.folklore.urban and you'll find a long recent thread
about the US and UK versions.
And I probably shouldn't mention my recent UK parcel containing:
penguins, kit-kats [orange, mint, dark, and regular], mighty minis [new
thing of Cadburys], areo, various bizarre [by American standards]
flavoured crisps, flakes [regular and those white chocolate ones covered
in more chocolate], crunchie nuggets, maltesers, blue ribands, bountys,
and of course baked beans. And some UK computer magazines and videos of
recent TV.

I had a flake when I was in the UK a few weeks back. I had never heard of that before and he bought me one at the airport for the ride home. WOW! that was soooooo good
P.S. I hope he does not read this thread about beans on toast *EWW* That actually has become quite the joke between us. Never heard such a thing before I met him

ah... UK computer mag's... i miss all that free software and 'real' product
reviews. how come they don't give decent software away in the US?
i'm off to ireland in a couple of weeks, with my shiny advance parole
papers. i was never really a big chocolate fan, but you've just reminded me
to bring an empty hold-all to fill full of bags of tayto, crunchies,
bountys... even blue ribands, which i never really appreciated before you
reminded me.

Can usually be found at the local Barnes & Noble (if you have one that
is). I spend a few hours once a month in there reading the UK mags
over a Starbucks or two.

Yep, although the prices might give you pause for thought. As an
aside, the term free CD always gets me. Try walking into your local
book store, newsagent, etc. and help yourself to the CD without the
magazine. Then you'll find out how "free" they are
P.S. I think it was PC Zone that was 2.99 without the free CD or 3.99
with it!
