I mean, get from other libraries within your county/state system? We can down here, easily enough, at no extra cost.

There are two libraries in our county, but you have to have a separate card for each because they are in different towns. I odon't think they ship stuff back and forth.

Do you have netflicks? My wife wants to sign us up but I am hesitant. We only only have one movie rental place in the closest town (not including the library which has a pretty good selection and is free!) and she is dissatisfied with the selection available there.

tried Netflicks, what a load of C##p, went back to Blockbusters..we have Total Access for $23.00 a month, you can return movies in store for free rentals then they ship the next dvd out. Try the free trial on line.:)

I'd heard that the more frequently you send movies back the longer it takes to get the next one - a kind of negative prioritization built into their system. Also read their customer service was poo - faulty disk got sent back for replacement and the same one came back again - twice.

Did I read this on here somewhere? Will try to look up the source.

thats exactly what happened to us.........:curse:

but were very happy with blockbuster....as you don't have to mail them....you can just take them into the shop and trade them there and then...which is perfect for us...

I agree: I've used both Netflix and Blockbuster's services over the past few years. Blockbuster's service is much better. Total Access is a huge advantage.

Also, after a few months, Netflix started shipping me movies from Kansas City rather than the distribution center I know they have about ten miles from my house. They do that to lengthen shipping times and slow down your consumption. It's very annoying.

That happened to me too, but I thought they got taken to court for it?

Anyway, it was good while I had it though.

Netflix is a god send for us, they will ship to FPO. Good turn around on a movie is ten days for us, so we get a constant stream. It also means we don't have to deal with Middle East censorship issues.

I realise we're not in a normal situation but as a service, we've had no problems with it and as a facility it's bloody fantastic.

We don't have a Blockbuster anywhere close or I would be thinking about them too.
