We are off to a 'pot luck' brunch on Sunday - I am taking mini toad in the hole (that's fairly English) and Smoked Haddock Pate (cos I am Scottish).

I once went to a Super Bowl party and forgot the side dish. So at the last moment I stopped in a McDonalds and ordered 'ten super sized French Fries' please. They had to cook them fresh for me (a plus) and gave me two huge bags filled with golden deliciousness.
I arrived at the party, made a beeline to the kitchen and said 'give me the biggest bowl you've got' dumping in all the fries.
They were gone in minutes.
