Unfortunately it has, about 10% of my right arm from the elbow to just above the wrist is numb and will in all probability remain so. In fact I was warned I could lose some strength in my hand and the numbness could have been more extensive in the hand and arm. So unfortunate but what the heck could have been so much worse. Just need to be careful as I can injure the arm where it is numb and not even know.
Anyway as the surgeon said before the op just drink with the other hand.

Just wanted to say thanks for the messages I have received while I struggled with what I thought was a shoulder injury.
Turned out it was a tumor on a nerve root in my neck and into the spinal canal. Had surgery on the 17th. Surgeon said he got it all and was 99.96% sure his original diagnoses of benign was correct but awaiting lab results. No phone call to say he was wrong so I guess I am one very lucky guy.
Still very painful to do some things like typing so while I am reading BE I am still not posting much. But to those of you getting your visas or citizenship I'm glad your journeys are progressing and following eagerly.
