Absolutely. If I was comparing a Harley to a Jap bike, it would be the (god awful) Honda Goldwing. They're just silly though - might as well buy a car given how expensive they are.

Anyway, now that we're already in another galaxy, tangent wise, what always tickled me was the motorbikes with stereos. How the hell can you hear them when you're out on the road? Even with it blasting, the engine would surely drown it out ...

Headphones. I notice the idiot Harley's all have their stereo's blaring.

Suppose that makes sense, but even with headphones, there is little insulation from noise (unless you have those fancy Bose ones), especially without a helmet.

Maybe it's different when you're on it, rather than stood beside it, of course, but it always seemed like a losing battle to me - engine vs stereo
